PATCH Challenge

PATCH Challenge is a Jeopardy-style game designed to be fun, engaging, and competitive for a small group of 2-4 players.  Best led by a geriatrician, PATCH Challenge covers topics in palliative care medicine and home care with an emphasis on dementia, which affects over 50% of PATCH patients.  As in Jeopardy, contestants select a category and a points level.  The "game show host" then gives them an answer to which they must provide the question.  Additional teaching points are included.  For best results, please click on the right upper corner of the yellow answer boxes.

Learning objective: To become more knowledgeable about palliative care and home care as they apply to older adult patients.

PATCH Challenge has been played by internal medicine residents at the University of Chicago during the outpatient geriatrics rotation.

Have fun!
